on Feb 3,2007 7:22pm | Bridge Nine Records is proud to announce the addition of Connecticut-based Ambitions. Ambitions originally came together in 2005 as a three-piece by Jay, Jeff, and John with the intent of creating music that would break the boundaries of the current scene. No strangers to the hardcore/punk community, the trio strived to write songs that would fuse elements of many collective influences, ranging from their hardcore roots to bands like Dag Nasty and Face To Face. Punknews.org said about Ambitions: “It’s raw, unpolished, and honest. It’s the kind of material that makes you want to crawl over kids to get closer to the mic. It’s a nice break from the standard swing-your-arms-like-a-propeller-during-the-eleventh-breakdown-in-the-first-song type of hardcore.”
After recording a well-received demo and playing numerous shows all over the East Coast, Ambitions joined up with Think Fast! Records to release their first EP, Question, which went on to garner rave reviews from national magazines and websites alike. Having shared the stage with Have Heart, Verse, Shipwreck, Crime In Stereo, and more.
Ambitions will be hitting the road in February and March with Modern Life Is War and Bane – check out the tour dates below! Following their stint on the road, Ambitions will begin working on their debut full-length, which will be titled Stranger. Look for this record in stores in summer of 2007 from Bridge Nine!
