Drawing inspiration from outer limits of science-fiction, NUCLEUS plays a twisted and bizarre strain of death metal in the vein of ATHEIST and under-appreciated, yet boundary-warping innovators such as TIMEGHOUL and DEMILICH. Lyrically, Sentient steers away from the usual death metal topics in favor of themes based on the headier dimensions of Isaac Asimov, Arthur Clarke and Frank Herbert. Cover art for Sentient was painted by Dan Seagrave.
