voodo is not the top or prominent religion in haiti. catholicism is --- and haitians that immigrate to the united states don't all practive voodo in their basemnts.

voodo is a religion that originated in africa. many african tribes still practive voodo and voodo rituals like the yourba of nigera. haitians also practice voodo and rituals but thats a very small amount. rituals are done to heal the sick or ward off evil spirits --- in most rituals dancing is done and a chicken is sacrificed.

saying all haitians practice voodo is like saying all asians know kung fu or something.

and the reason why i know all of this is because my mother was born and raised in haiti & born and raised in the catholic church. the biggest misconception people have of haitians is that we all practice voodo and shit.

my mother came to the united states when she was 15 and been here for over 30 years so i think your problem is more with immigration and foreigners and if thats the case then you need to get your act together because you are becoming the minority instead of the majority.
