The Ocean has been working day and night on their upcoming album, which is slated for a Summer/Fall 2007 release. The new album will be a conceptual double-CD with one full-length CD and a second mini-CD. The full-length disc will explore calmer but deeper and darker waters, while the mini-CD will revisit a style similar to the band’s 2005 release “Aeolian”. More details about the album concept coming soon…

In April, drums, bass and guitars will be recorded at the legendary Studio 57 in Finland with engineer/co-producer Jonas Olsson. Vocals and all orchestral instruments will be recorded at Oceanland in Berlin. The Ocean’s Robin Staps will join Jonas behind the board.

The Ocean is still auditioning guitar players. If you are interested, check out the bands website for more details.

The Ocean is also hoping to lock down their first U.S. tour which has been tentatively scheduled for July. More details regarding the tour will be available soon.
