I'd say what isn't simple are the arrangements and the songwriting effort in general. The entire piece is certainly not technical, but it is so well written that I'd say it's harder for a band to come up with a composition that embeds itself in the listeners mind, rather than hitting a bunch of notes and sounding complicated and chaotic.
