You fought for this country? That may be what you were told. Or that could just be what you tell yourself. I would think after all these years later you would've come to the realization that your service didn't benefit this country. They could've cared less about your well being. Something tells me if you came back severely wounded and constantly denied proper medical treatment/compensation benefits you'd be singing a different tune. Talk to all those veterans waiting in line going back to Vietnam.
Voting is only important locally. On a national scale your vote amounts to diddly shit.
