Burn My Remains - hadn't heard them before but they were really good...that is what melodic death metal should sound like
Porphyria - metalguy was all hyped up about them, and despite their lack of half the band they were pretty impressive...their drummer is insanely fast
Ravage - typical chaotic show for us...impromptu cover of breakin the law was a disaster, screwed up a couple of lesser practiced songs, but a fun show nonetheless
Random Acts - again no Unleashing...and no manowar songs...in fact no encore at all...was strange...but they played the new song, tom selleck, and milligram...and also the "terminator" solo...so i was entertained |

We had a blast last night. I think we played an all right set, I dropped so many drum sticks but whatever. I blame it on my alcohol counsumption. Porphyria killed even with only three members. Ravage and RAOV were fucking awesome. Great show all around, no bullshit, just metal. That's how things should be. Thanks to RAOV for hooking us up with this. |

burn my remains: I guess they are fairly new, had some pretty cool guitar work, I couldn't really hear the guitar player on the left.. look forward to playing with them on july 30th.
us: our first show without a bassist and 2nd guitarist! haha, christ, what the hell is wrong with us. I can't wait to get back on track.
ravage: 1st time seeing them live, I thought the music was pretty rad actually. I just couldn't handle the vocals. waaay too much vibrato with the vocals. from what I understand the singer has been in the band since 1995 but it looked like he was uncomfortable on stage or something. they played for a bit too long I think. someone said 3 encores. awesome guitar playing and basswork.
random acts of violence: 2nd time seeing them live. after they turned guitars up they sounded awesome for o'briens. wish they played longer and included 'the trooper' hopefully next time. good luck on tour doo0dz. |

All in all a good show. BMR had some cool ass riffs going on. Porphyria was killer despite their Pig Destroyer esque roster. Ravage's guitar player on the right had some sweet ass licks. I personally was sort of off all night. Popped stitches in my mouth while singing and am just a big giant angry prick all the time lately, so sorry if I was a dickhead to anyone more than I usually am.
Oh and fuck that short little door guy. He can get fucked. |
