the shock part was a little different from last year, a very little. Personally, I didn't care about seeing most of the movie people "in the flesh" since I haven't seen most of the movies. It was cool to see pinhead, the original jason, and the eggshell skinned guy from TMC2. the only other person I could place was one of the ho's from hostel. Beyond that, the people there were mostly devils rejects cast. I haven't seen that movie yet so I was lost. The venders were a lot of the same people too. You could tell the inovators of the returns were cause they had new sculptures/products. The one thing I wished I could have seen was the original hills have eyes vs the remake. That would have been cool

mongrel: even from the back of the room, they sounded good. I was absolutely surprised about that. There crowd was about 1/3 full for them and people were screaming/singing along. This far from home too. I hear them do a misfits song, but I was getting supplies for gwar.

bad ash: I swear I saw these guys, but I recognize the bassist. I et it.. Bad ash... Bad ass... They were punky rock about zombies with some melodic metal guitar riffs and a tromboner player. For some reason there was a dude who ran around the stage with a strongbad mask on. He sang through everyone's mics and hit random samples. At one point, he and the tromboner held up signs professing their proficiency in karate, chachacha, heyheyhey, and pretty deadgirls.

toggletoggle post by Allah That at Oct 14,2006 7:21pm
pretty dead girls make graves .

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 14,2006 7:52pm
december aeternalis: not "december man" like bands list said back stage. These guys are awesome. Totally a brutal band that tosses their all into things. I would be very surprised if they get paid for driving all the way up here. Their newer stuff sounds a little bit like TRC. At the end of their set, there was a fight in the crowd. the kids got tossed out in seconds. I saw a bunch of horns go up in tha air too.

toggletoggle post by pam   at Oct 14,2006 9:01pm
I'm feeling better, I should have sucked it up and went. Dammit.

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Oct 14,2006 9:05pm
i decided that seeing just municipal waste for 30 bucks was retarded.

so, ill spend that money on alcohol instead.

toggletoggle post by porphyria at Oct 14,2006 9:07pm
drove to worcester and back for nothing. yay!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 14,2006 9:13pm
tom, why?

hot black: their first song.. Well, every song, sort of sounded like turbo negro covering misfits' skulls. not bad rock. Sometimes they had a motorhead sound to them. The singer had a lot of energy. I don't know which guy's kinslayer's coworker so I took plent of pictures of all of them. During their set a 100lb girl came over the barricade (the second crowd surfer of the night). 5 bouncers pulled her down. That leads me to a joke. How many bouncers does it take to catch one female crowd surfer who? 5. No wait, that's not funny. Actually, only one guy actually brought her down. but 5 ran over to.

It smells like foamrubber here like crazy. I feel like I'm inside a giant condom. We were also told for the rest of the bands, 2 songs only and flash on all the bands ACCEPT gwar. WTF? Gwar with no flash? These pistures are going to suck-zilla. It'll be worse than that time I got a job as a carrot cake.

acacia strain, the: ok, they went from 3 guitarists to 1? the other guitarist was even on the side of the stage watching... Weird. With only 1 guitar, it wasn't as heavey. There were some hecklers in the crowd telling them to go play football. That means there are currently 3 football bands; AC/DC, porphyria, and now, the acacia strain. There were some dudes in the crowd flipping them off for the wholeset. Weird. So when did all these bands become boy bands? TAS has a part where they get people to bounce. I saw some bouncing, but mostly, I heard tons of girls screaming like on those old fashion beatle videos. They ended their set and ran outside to play flag football.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Oct 14,2006 10:02pm
ACCEPT??? Dammit aaron...you know better...EXCEPT....

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 14,2006 10:18pm
oops.. I was thinking about the band.

municipal waste: someone made a comment about these 4 critical dudes not being able to get away with all the party stuff they used to do cause of the bigger shows they are getting on. Not so. Granted, there was no front row beer hat, but they did a funnel and brought out 1 boogie board (time for a trip to hampton beach to buy more!) their music is simple and catchy.watching dave witte drum almost an entire song with one stick ruled. The crowd surfers just kept coming over the barricade, but the boogie boards still didn't go out. The reason? So the singer could stand on it and surf around the crowd on it. They need to get a couple more of those.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 14,2006 11:10pm
red chord, the: wow, they played two new songs! the first one sounded like the first CD. The second on like the second CD. they sounded a excellent on that stage and kicked up a segnificant amount of stage divers. when the set started, john's guitar was messed up which postponed their start.. Once it was fixed, they were off, but it crapped out again on the first song. It was funny cause it was a part where you just hear his guitar and you heard nothing. Somehow they started 30 minutes early and got to play a much longer set. They sent dreaming in dog years out to me by saying "do something stupid right now and get it on the web in an hour!" after that, they played antman and tried getting people front the side to sing along. The crowd did it any how.
The "do something stupid" thing sort of back fired cause some old ladies in the balcony kept yelling for me to shoot pictures of them flashing. I decline their offer and went to ready my things for gwar. I could hear from the crowd that they did infact do it. What's the deal with people @ gwar shows? I'm pretty sure they kept throwing things down at me cause I would take their picture.

bad ash- were ok i guess, kind of annoying
december whatever- had a couple parts that were good but meh
hotblack-played a million songs that sounded exactly the same, crowd went pretty nuts for them for some reason
acacia strain- enjoyed em but i cant help but knowing that the singer and guitarist are the biggest douchebags ever.
municiple waste- reason i went...amazing...giant circle pit entire set...cant wait until they come back
red chord- giant set....awesome as usual
gwar- laughed a couple times but they have def had better stage antics...i dont own any of their cds so whatever if they played the new album

overall-municiple waste were napalm death good

gwar: I was pissed cause of the "no flash" thing. It was so dark in there and my pictures ate behind. During their set, I had a cop spray blood in my face and hilter ejaculate all over my back. That makes for a really good night for some and a really bad night for others. I was indifferent and a little elated from the fact that it missed my camera almost completely. I listened to a bit of their set, but took off early. Sound wise, this was probably my favorite set. I don't care about many of their songs, but most that I do like are new so yeah for me!
On a side note: I wore the shorts from this show for 3-4 days after not realizing that they were covered in fake blood.
