Neither is Papa Roach(rock/rap sure, not metal/rap). Neither is Chevelle by any sense, and Disturbed...well I dont like them but i havent heard enough to say if they're Metal or not.

i believe that only listening to music that is played on radio is about as narrow a horizon as someone can have in music taste. Even if you claim to listen to rap and hip hop and rock and punk and all that. if it's played on the radio, you're a pawn. Yeah i listen to metal, but it's not played on the radio (RTTP doesn't count). Sometimes i do like some types of punk, never heard it on the radio. I even like some types of rap. Not really but every once in a while. But if it's played on the radio then it's commercialized. You're feeding the system.

RTTP is a good gateway drug if you are willing to destroy all your old music and dig a little deeper into the world of independent music. There are so many good bands and sounds that come from the underground that you wont find on Mtv. Its truly amazing! Then, once you start to discover this great musical phenomenon you'll be surprised that the quality of music you've discovered from the underground doesn't get the recognition it rightfully deserves and then and only then you will know just how jaded most of us feel on this Board.
Return To The Pit is a great resource to start with! So take some time to navigate RTTP's sites and sounds!
