Hey, I'm looking for a Wargasm album I had as a kid. It was a copy, so I have no idea what the album title was, or what the cover looked like. All I remember is there was a song about Bonnie and Clyde on it called "Bullets and Blades" or something similar.

Any idea what album it was? I have UGLY, so I know it's not that one.

Ironically, I had more than one Wargasm album when I was a teen, but I never really got into it. Now, they're suddenly becoming one of my favorite bands, and I can't find their shit anywhere.

mmmm, I thiiiink Why Play Around is out of print, but with the 20th anniversary coming up, chances are it'll be re-released this year.

O.K., I found one user on DC+ that has some wargasm stuff. I'm downloading Why Play Around, and Suicide Notes (which I've never heard of). Any other albums I can try looking for?

The Why Play Around album will probably never see the (legal) light of day ever again... We've been working on re-releasing it for its' 20th anniversary for a few years but the legalities are ridiculous and insurmountable. Profile was sold to Arista some years ago; Arista owns the masters, but the ex-head asshole from Profile still owns the copyright on the recording, and he has no plans to re-release it. Nor will he hand it over to us without us coughing up ridiculous bucks. That's the biz, kids.

This is EXACTLY why we are doing the WPA anniversary show in September. After finding out we'd never get the rights, we decided to record it live and release a live version of the record OURSELVES. Fuck PROFILE, ARISTA ETC. And the coolest thing about that is that anyone who comes to the anniversary show will be on the CD with us.

Burn/download/trade/file share/pirate WPA? as much as you want. Hand out CDRs on the streetcorner, we don't care. The more people who get that album WITHOUT THE LABELS GETTING ANY MONEY, the happier we are. We aren't losing any money when you burn it; we never made any money from it so we aren't losing any money from it now.

What will be available at the show is the reunion show DVD.
