Contra 3 is very winnable. I just played it. G'n'G on the other hand, is damn near impossible. I beat it once. It took me and a friend of mine fucking weeks to do it though.

contra 3 is cake... now gradius 3... i dont know. my friend and i have beaten gradius 5.... thats such a sweet game btw.
I actually know some people who have beaten Ghouls'n'Ghosts, but at a great investment of time and sanity. They're probably institutionalized these days.
