I didn't know that Ralphs now has a big screen in the back of the stage or something like that. Thats pretty cool, not exactly sure what we would use it for....I was thinking a rugrats cartoon maybe that would work.

Yeah...that's been there for quite a long time now. They sometimes play porn or old horror movies.

Siked that the Rev is going to make it out and people are interested in seeing us. We'll have demos and shirts... and shit. Also looking forward to freebasing with Mr. Horror and then drowning a Filipina hooker in a kiddie pool.
I am about 99% sure that Zircon will NOT be playing tonight, as our drummer has re-injured his knee and is on crutches. The show will probably start a little later and the 3 bands will be able to play extended sets if they want. Yeah I'm pretty pissed that we're not playing but it's still going to be a good time, looking forward to it...
dominatus: with the addition of a bass, they are so much heavier than they ever were. There are even mosh parts. Not that too many people took advantage of this to mosh, but they will in all due time.
aura of aquila: I vote that this band is the band mostlikely to review the notes over and over again before going on stage (instead of drinking like other bands). That's the only way I will believe that a band can be that anally tight on stage. Flawless blackmetal like enslaved. Some bard-esque vocals tossed in there for a good measure. I swear that they even have it measured down to the millimeter how far to be away from the mic for each different vocal they do. Oh, I apologize to um... Jim I think was his name. Sorry for shaking your hand. I only slipped up once.
What a fucking killer night! You Massholes have an awesome thing going with this Metal Thursday. Maybe one day CT could be so lucky but I'm not holding my breath. HUGE thanks to Chris and Ralphs for having us, Dominatus and Aura for being awesome, Ray for the cab, Rev for his sanctimonious appearance and photographing skillz (and not infecting me with his "pink gift"), RichHorror for his dark sensuality, Pabst Blue Ribbon for being $2.50 a bottle, that "Time To Fuck" neon sign for the Blue Velvet rape-lair ambiance, Artie - the World's Strongest Man for his delightful cameo and everybody who came out and made it such a great fucking time. Hope to be back soon.
ipsissimus: that's ip-SISS-i-mus (small "i" sound not I as in EYE). wtf?!? No corpse paint? I want my dollars back! The must non-metal thing the entire night was the goat's watch. I kept snaping thinking "heathen black metal with bling?". As tight as aura was, Ipsissimus was as raw, savage, and blasphemous. As soon as they hit the stage it was all hate hate hate. I had seen these guys walking around and kept thinking they were all different people. If you had asked me before they got on stage, I would have confessed that Ipsissmus was 6 dudes, plus ryan adams and michael bolton. Somehow at midnight on a thursday, they grabbed my attention and their set ended minutes after they started. Well, they played for 30, but it felt like 5, tops.
oh full disclosure. they paid me off. I'm wearing their shirt right now.
