Adding to their undisputed and growing roster, Bridge Nine Records is
proud to add Cruel Hand to the B9 family! Coming out of Maine, Cruel
Hand released their debut Without a Pulse last summer on 6131
Records. Originally intended to be a casual band, the tours started
piling up and Cruel Hand quickly realized they wanted to tour
full-time and did just that. Cruel Hand played shows around the US
with Trash Talk and The Mongoloids, hitting the United States three
times and the band recently completed their first full-European tour
supporting Without A Pulse.
People began to take notice, positive press began to roll in with
Scenepointblank saying "the songs don't get stuck in your head; they
get milled into your skull" and Cruel Hand decided to start looking
around for labels. Bridge Nine owner Chris Wrenn said, "We couldn't
be more stoked that Cruel Hand decided to go full-time. They're
incredible musicians and they're so tight and powerful live that it
was a no-brainer that we [Bridge Nine] team up with them. We've been
watching them for a while and harassing their guitarist Nate Manning
shortly after we started seeing them play, so we're so happy to
finally welcome them to the family. And the demos they sent us are
insane. It's a lesson in how metal-influenced hardcore should sound.
We can't wait for this fall."
Cruel Hand enters God City and the Getaway Group with engineer Jay
Maas Monday, July 6th to being tracking their as yet untitled LP that
is unleashing this fall. Look for more news on Cruel Hand soon and
expect to see their Bridge Nine Records debut in the fall of 2008.
