New site? Maybe some day.
Yea, it's annoying the shit out of me...This is what my side-view mirror looks like:
Anyone got any ideas on how I should get them outta there? |
How have you come to know they are living in there and not just passing through? Do they come out in herds? I hate spiders. I would say the obvious way that you've probably already though of would be to turn the mirror all the way to one side to fit the little hose from a raid can in there, and fill that bitch up. otherwise... good luck. |
spiders are fucking gross. |
double-foot dropkick the mirror off, then you'll never have to worry about spiders in it again |
Those spiders are keeping the real menace out of your mirror:
I know they're living in there now because I've seen them crawling on my windsheild for the past 2 months now, and last night as I was driving home there were three of them coming out of there...I'm afraid to spray anything in there because the mirrors are automatic. Raid wouldn't damage anything would it? |
Use a can of compressed air...the ones you use for cleaning keyboards and circuit boards and shit. That's got enough juice to blast 'em out without fuckin up the innards of the mirror. |
i dunno, compressed air might not cut it. i wouldnt think raid would do any damage....but that shit is pretty intense so i guess i'm not sure. Are those fucking things in that picture two posts up from here real? HOLY SHIT those things are scary. |
Take the mirror off, put it in a bag, and put an ammonia-soaked rag in it. Then seal. Dead bugs... rotting... in your mirror. |
lol i have this problem too comes with parking under old trees |
Your Ford Tempo belongs to the spiders now. Replace the air freshener, set the radio presets to something they'll like, and GTFO before they get pissed. |
damn it haha i was going to say the same thing. |

I have no idea, I searched Giant Bugs and they were the first thing that came up. |
Considering they're on a page titled "2006 Photo Hoax Contest" I'd say... yes. |
do what i did when i had spiders in my truck last summer (they were everywhere, in the mirror, in the cab, everywhere): walk down to the store (because i was afraid to drive with spider passengers), get some spider killer, spray it into the crack between the mirror and the fixture, and spray the fuck out of the inside of your car. then take the car to one of those car washes that completely cleans out the inside of your car and let them get your spiders out. |
there's nothing wrong with spiders. they're GOOD. they kill the bad bugs.
unless they're have poison. but that's more metal. I would love to swim in a pool of spiders and snakes |
I kind of dig spiders -- though an infestation of anything is gross.
When I was a kid, I used to catch ants and throw them in spider webs or ant lion mounds -- then sit back and enjoy the carnage.
Now that I think about it, this may explain some of what's wrong with me... |

hahaha i still do that. my roommates mom used to collect spiders. she had a Goliath Bird Eater, now spiders don't bother me, i mean i don't cuddle with them but i don't condone just killing one when you see it, but seeing that thing made my heart jump. |
i'm guessing the only effective way to kill it would be with a .12 gauge. |
cold weather is coming... leave em be and they'll move on... thank them for eating all the skeeters with West Nile! |
