someone at work just emailed me about it. sounds tit.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 18,2010 12:29pm
basically, you add in all your accounts for all the banking, bills, etc, that you do and it figures out and informs you about where your money goes.

toggletoggle post by bloblovesmusic at Oct 18,2010 12:49pm
sounds like a scam...

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 18,2010 12:50pm
idk, I will see what it's like. I'm in the matrix now.

I've seen the site and wondered about it to. I was just kind of paranoid because you're supposed to give up passwords for your accounts. I'm interested to know if the site is legit / safe because I could definitely see the benefits of what they claim to do.

@valkriescreams: yeah, that's why I'm trying it. A co-worker uses it and loves it. I've got to get more of my info inorder to use it. Mostly mortgage.

If this is real I'm going to try it. Sounds neat.

Legitimacy check: How many tickets do you need to sell?

toggletoggle post by bloblovesmusic at Oct 18,2010 1:28pm
scenario: site gets hacked... yeah.

toggletoggle post by bloblovesmusic at Oct 18,2010 1:35pm
haha, my reluctance to this site is very Jewish.

Though if I used this site, I'd also be very Jewish.

Jewish Catch 22...

I used it for 6-8 months so far. Very easy and convenient to use. No problems at all and it gives you alerts on when large purchases were made on any of your accounts. It's been rated as one of the best account management tools.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 18,2010 2:19pm
I need to get my bills into it. I was going to get my credit score, but couldn't find it.

I also started doing a google docs to forensics on my accounts each month. Hopfully I don't have to now.

since I signed up to this, I stopped going to dunkin donuts (over $60 a month) and stopped eating out ($100+ a month), but now I'm spending a crap load on groceries.

this has been a while for a while.
a lot of people like it to easily manage everything

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 1,2010 4:29pm
I was a while for awhile before that though, I wasn't very while.

toggletoggle post by Alx_Casket  at Nov 1,2010 4:47pm
I never liked while people much

Does anyone still use this site? A friend of mine is trying to talk me into joining. What are your thoughts after a few years?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 29,2012 2:44pm
what I like about it is that I don't have to log into a bunch of different sites to see a financial picture. They also email you weekly summaries that are excellent.

toggletoggle post by ark at Mar 29,2012 2:46pm
It's run by Intuit. I used it for a good 2 weeks and went back to plain spreadsheet. I'm all set with getting emails saying I went over my fast food budget.

Just trying to weigh if this would be helpful vs a pain in my deflated ass

I've used Mint for like 2 years now, it's been a big help in adjusting my cash outflow and basically keeping track of everything so that I don't have to

Setting savings goals and getting reminders to transfer to that account/pay my rent are the biggest bonuses for me
