pretty cool to look at. It is out right now, and is the prime time to gaze at it. This won't happen again until2052, so go check it out. My son brought home the notice from school about it today. I know the Rev is into this stuff like me.

Here is a National Geographic article about it I just found.

Crazy to think that Jupiter & Venus are 500 million miles apart.

Shit, I was wondering what was next to the moon. The more you know.

toggletoggle post by thuringwethil at Dec 1,2008 5:14pm

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 1,2008 5:16pm

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 1,2008 5:16pm

toggletoggle post by SkinSandwich at Dec 1,2008 5:26pm
I didn't get the notice until an hour before it happened. :(
Haste makes waste negro.

toggletoggle post by SkinSandwich at Dec 1,2008 5:44pm
The moon is silouetted too.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Dec 2,2008 7:22am

"Skywatchers across the world are in for a celestial treat Monday night as two of the brightest naked-eye planets, Venus and Jupiter, join a thin crescent moon to create a brief "unhappy face" in the sky."

I think the unhappy face is appropriate considering how crappy things are in the world right now. Everything sucks so much that even the sky is making a frowny face.

Oh Samantha, cheer up little camper!

If anyone wants a nice telescope, I may be selling mine.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Dec 2,2008 10:35am
let me know the price. i'm interested in one, but funds are limited.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Dec 2,2008 10:41am
Okay, I'd have to go check it out. I haven't used it in a few years. It may need realligning. You can see the Andromeda Galaxy with it, although that's a hard one. You've got to really know what you're doing.
It's great for looking at the moon, though.

hahahaha weird...I got out of work last night and looked up at the moon and thought...."where the fuck did those two stars come from?"

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Dec 2,2008 11:11am
